Slough is a meditation on the power of rubbish and mundane mementos. I focus on the life inanimate objects take on by significant association — presence formed through the drama of proximity, memory and loss. Slough pays homage to those objects that store emotions, acting as surrogate receptacles for feelings too overwhelming for the body to assume. Slough also marks my own fears of loss, losing, forgetting, and being forgotten.
